Cafe Batalea Sustainable coffee is a shared project between the
coffee industry, producers and traders. It's concept
is that "fair trade" coffee will produce a quality product while maintain
positive awareness of social impact and contributions to the balance of
nature.
The code of conduct for sustainable coffee is:
- economic: Reasonable
earnings and sustainable livelihoods for the
farmers and their families.
- ecological: Environmental
protection and natural resource conservation.
- social: Promotion of
social and humanitarian standards.
The commitment of Cafe's Batalea is to offer a quality coffee made
responsibly.
There are two International Organizations that certify the sustainability
of an agricultural area and its activity:
UTZ KAPEH and
RAINFOREST ALLIANCE
