Empeltre Black Olives

The Empeltre olive is found in Northern Spain in the Aragon region.  The olives are left to ripen on the tree, producing a purple/black hued olive, with higher oil content and softer texture compared to green olives.  Typically harvested in November, the fruit is washed and cured in water, salt and herbs for 12 – 14 months, due to its higher sugar content.   These Priorat Natur olives are 100% natural with no preservatives or artificial flavors
